Can I join SBCFCU?
Through your employer
You work for one of SBCFCU’s eligible sponsor organizations.
Through your family
Your spouse, child, sibling, or parent is already an SBCFCU member.
Not sure if you’re eligible? Call us at 805-682-3357 and our team can help you determine whether you qualify for membership.
What you’ll need to join

Valid identification
Have one of the following ready:
- California driver’s license
- California ID
- U.S. passport

Personal information
Be ready to provide:
- Social Security Number
- Date of birth
- Current address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Other information needed to verify your identify and open your account

Joint owner information
Opening the account with someone else? Have the joint owner’s correct email address ready. They may need to complete part of the membership process.
Membership that stays with you
Once your SBCFCU membership is established, you can begin taking advantage of the products and services available through your local, member-owned credit union.
A member for life
If you leave your sponsor employer after becoming a member, you can remain an SBCFCU member for life as long as you keep your membership open and in good standing.
